MW's Shopping Goodies: H&M, New Look, Next and more

Hey Whirlers,

Hope are well! I`ve recently been splurging - I know, bad habits die hard - but I will stop buying clothes for a few months, I think.

Here are my recent goodies:

I first ordered some things online from H&M - I love that shop, but their online delivery is horrendous! H&M sort it out - I`m pretty sure you lose valuable customers due to your awful delivery servicing.

1. Scarves
Khaki scarf, oversized and made out of linen - perfect for summer, but I`m just going to throw this around my neck for the office. This scarf appealed to me because of the frayed edges - love that.
Grey scarf, oversized square scarf from the men's section. Super soft and perfect for throwing on as a shawl. This scarf also has frayed edges - yay!
Pink floral scarf, normal size lightweight scarf - perfect for the Spring when floral will be on trend.
2. Pink Blazer
I love this blazer, it has black lapels - so it will be perfect for an evening dinner date.
3. Pumps
H&M do great everyday pumps for £7.99 which I love, I think these are like my 6th or 7th pairs! I purchased black as everything goes with black and some leopard print pumps because I usually wear black and I like to have something to 'pop'!
4. Sleeveless Blouse
I love this vibrant pinky-coral coloured satin blouse. I have yet to wear it, but its modest and large (I purchased a size 18) and dipped hem. So I`m looking forward to creating an outfit with this blouse.
5. Long Sleeve Blouse
I needed a light coloured dip hemmed blouse to wear casually over coloured jeans - and, I think this is perfect for it! It is somewhat sheer, but I will wear a nude long sleeve t-shirt underneath.

I have recently become obsessed with eBay and over the Christmas period I ordered a lot of items, even bidding for the first time - PLUS winning - RESULT! I haven`t uploaded all of my purchases from eBay as they`re dotted around the house but these items were at hand:

6. Brown Shoulder Bag
I absolutely adore this bag, I initially saw it on one of The Curious Orchid duo at the recent Bloggers Lunch and I fell in love with it. Check out their details photos of the bag here. You wouldn`t believe this bag is from eBay! The seller is called soleaffair, UK based, too! The bag comes in a variation of colours - check out the page here. Must buy!
7. "Maxi" Skirts
More like midi skirts, with a 20cm shorter lining to the skirt, itself! I prefer to wear my skirts on my waist than my hips, so when I do this - the skirts should JUST skim the floor, but these ones come to my mid-calf - which I`m not happy about. If I wear it on my hips, it does touch the floor - but we`ll see. I`ll try and find an outfit with these skirts.
Can midi skirts be worn with leggings underneath?
8. Scarf
This scarf appealed to me because it was oversized and in hunter green. It also has a fab print on it, which will be great for the warmer weather to come!
Check out the page for it here - have a look at the other colour options. The rustic red one looks gorgeous, too!

Princess Rockz, everyone has heard of them, and of course one of the founders/face of the label is my dear friend Aalia, so its good to support a friends business!
9. Scarves
I opted for the terracotta maxi scarf and the dark brown maxi scarf - both oversized and soft! Can`t wait to wear them!
10. Scarf
This is a massive oversized scarf from the men's section in Berksha. It also has frayed edges, which I love. I don`t know what colour this is, because its not grey, but its not purple, either. Hmm. Its like a dull heather colour.

11. Scarves
Its those skinny scarves, which would look great as the bow on your turban. I`ve only ever done the turban look once, and that was when I was doing my contouring tutorial  - but, I want the confidence to experiment so thats why I purchased these skinny scarves! One has a floral print and the other has a paisley print.
12. Rings
Each one was £1, which is fantastic. I purchased a bow, an owl and a butterfly. Seriously cute.

13. Maroon Blouse
I love the colour of this blouse, as I am obsessed with oxblood. What I also adore about this blouse, is that there is a lacy panel on the top part (front and back), but its not see-through! There is material underneath it - maintaining your modesty which is fantastic - so no skin is exposed! Perfecto!
14. White Blazer
This is a long line blazer, and is perfect for an evening do - as its modest, yet elegant at the same time. Can`t wait for the cold to pass so I can wear it and not worry about getting it dirty!
15. Belt
OH.MY.WORD.
I love this belt!! I`ve worn it 3 times already - totally obsessed! I`ve seen similar, but smaller size belt in New Look! The belt looks fantastic with a black flowy maxi skirt!
16. Blouse
This is a high neck, long sleeve sheer floral blouse - which I absolutely love. Although the button is on the back of the neck, which makes me feel claustrophobic :( besides that, this blouse is gorgeous with a maxi skirt, as well!
17. Metal Painted Word
I love anything French. Had to buy it. Its currently on my dresser, I`m waiting to think of a more creative place for it.
18. Headband
Again, like item 11, I want to put bows in my scarves. Just stocking up before I start experimenting!

So, that`s all my recent purchases, and hopefully for a long time - lol.

What are your recent purchases?
Have you bought anything the same?
Is there an OOTD you`d like to see with any of these items?

Let me know. Keep safe in the snow.

Lots of love,
xo

MW Shopping Goodies

Hello Whirlers,

Ive decided to do something different this time. I thought I would do a video rather than taking photos of my recent purchases. I thought it would be quicker than taking photos, etc. It is, somewhat. I can just leave the video to upload and get on with other things. So, if you like, I may do more. If not, back to watermarking everything I upload, lol.

Let me know if you like the video, if I should do more, if I should stick to blogging, etc, etc.

xo

P.S. Ignore my messy hijab, I literally whirled it on.

MW Goodies: Lucy Arts Eid Cards

Salam Whirlers!

Eid is nearly upon us, so what does that mean?? Yes, new outfits, lots of yummy desserts, Eid cards, gifts, decorations and family time. To get into the spirit, I approached Lucy Arts and ordered a few Eid cards to send to my beloveds.

Lucy Arts is an Arabic Calligraphy business by Lucy K from London. She creates, as well as greeting cards, in my opinion, the most magnificent canvases. She is a talented young lady, who besides studying is slowly developing her business, masha`Allah.

I have yet to purchase a canvas for myself, so until then I am satisfying myself with her beautiful Eid cards, which I just had to share with you:

I adore packagings. The extra effort shows the extra mile they will go for their customer, which is exactly what Lucy did.
The Eid cards. She has plenty of different designs, but I absolutely adored the corner paisley designs.
Along with the cards, you can also order matching envelopes.

Lucy Arts business cards
I ordered these cards on a Thursday afternoon, and received them on a Saturday morning. This is amazing as I DO love a fast and efficient service! So, that was definitely a perk for me.

Another perk for me was the price, 5 cards with envelopes came to £12.50! Can you believe it was so cheap? In total, I WILL pay £14.39 (inc. p&p). (I haven`t paid yet, but I will, Lucy!!)

The inside is left blank for you to write you own message, which is great, but it can be a small issue when you have ordered dark cards, where your normal black/blue ink won`t be visible. This means, I have to purchase a gold pen to write my Eid message in. Or, I could sew in a thin piece of white paper, add a verse from the Qur`an and write my message in normal ink. This just means, a little more work on my side, which is not a big deal, but I live in the middle of nowhere, so resources are limited. I hope there is a gold pen somewhere on the high street! But, besides this small issue, I am absolutely in love with these Eid cards!! I will order again in the future and I will have my gold pen ready!

Another issue I have just discovered, again a small issue, which can easily be resolved by Lucy. The beautiful paisley design in the top right corner would be covered by the stamp. *sadface* Why would you want to cover that?! I`m really sad that I might have to cover it, or just put the stamp next to it, but I don`t really want the Post Office people to put their horrible black stamp all over it :(
So, Lucy, if you`re reading this, maybe have the paisley designs on opposite corners? This might not be an issue for other people, but I`m seriously OCD and I`d need everything to be perfect! And, again why would you want to hide your talent on the envelope?!

If you like these Eid cards, then you will love her other projects, which you can check out on her Facebook page.

So, check it out, contact her, and be amazed by her talent, masha`Allah.

MW Goodies: Street Princess Jewellery

Hey Whirlers,

How are you all? I recently purchased some goodies from Street Princess, which I`m very excited about! Especially as I had my eye on  a 'Ellie' bracelet for a while.

Let me give you the lowdown on Street Princess. An online jewellery boutique where the Princess is Naheeda, a wonderful chick that I had the pleasure to meet a few months ago at a bloggers meet up in London. Naheeda takes great pride in her work, and it is reflected in the end product where her bracelets are all handmade and are perfect, masha`Allah. She initially did a whole range of jewellery, but is now focussing on her handmade bracelets for a short period. That explains why her rings and necklaces are in the amazing blog sale over on her blog.

I was given the opportunity to purchase a few goodies from Street Princess with 50% discount, and here are the pictures of my purchase:
I`m a sucker for cute packaging. It shows effort and pride in their work, and most importantly, wanting to put a smile on their customers face. Orgazana pouches and little card boxes that are filled with treasures.

Here is a close-up of the packaging. There are mini crowns on one side of the box, which signifies the princess in the name. Totally cute, creative and a lot of thought has gone into the packaging. My bracelets came in this, where it was further wrapped in pink tissue paper to protect the bracelet inside the box.
A further close-up of the packaging. This is the other side of the box, showing the logo of Street Princess. Again, much thought as gone into the whole image of the product as a whole.

With the products, I was give a post card from Naheeda with a personal message. I told you I`m a sucker for cute packaging and the extra effort into putting a smile on your customers face!

'Bow' ring - £2
This was purchased from the blog sale. How cute is this ring? This ring is perfect for me, with chubby fingers, as the ring is expandable.
Riley in Red/Gold
An example of how perfectly made this bracelet is by Naheeda.
Ellie in Nude
This is my favourite product from the purchase! I love elephants.
This bracelet is JUST TOOOOO CUTE!!! I took more photos of this bracelet as I loved it too much!

Another personal touch by Street Princess is to have SP on the ends of the bracelet to stop the bracelet falling off.
It took me a while to get used to this extra weight, and had to be careful not to let it fall into my food,
but again, reflecting the personal touches to Naheeda's work.

I did actually purchase another item, a tribal necklace in antique gold, but when I was taking photos the necklace was sitting in my new necklace board and I was too lazy to go upstairs and bring it down! But, that necklace is also very pretty!!

I think the amount of time and effort Naheeda puts into her jewellery is amazing and truly reflects it in the end product. She has nailed the personal touches, the handmade bracelets are flawless and she has created truly amazing packaging to go with her jewellery, surely to leave her customers with a smile on their face.

If you liked any of these products, please do check her out on:

So, what do you guys think? Isn`t the Ellie bracelet just amaze?!

MW Goodies: Primark Pickings

Hello Whirlers!

How is everyone's ramadhan coming along? I`m currently at work on my lunch break and blogging! I`m not eating so I might as well use the hour productively.

Oh, also, I`m going into town more, which isn`t good for my bank account, as I keep buying goodies!!

I popped into Primark and spent a total of £19.00!! And, managed to nab all these bargains!!

1. Scarf.
I think its maxi. Its also really lightweight, so perfect at the moment when we have those summer  moments randomly. Only thing, I don`t like about it is that its really flat, I like scarves that stay looking quite big/volumised. I might have to iron it by running some starch through it, to keep a more structure to the scarf. I hope that makes sense, as I could be talking jibberish due to lack of food!

2. Shirt
I`ve been after a burgundy shirt for a while, and I`ve only started noticing the colour in the autumn/winter catalogues! So, when I saw this shirt on a girl's instagram picture, I had to go out and purchase it!! I absolutely love it! Cannot wait to start wearing it and trying to find loads of new outfits to wear with it. Also, it was a bargain at £3!!! AMAZEBALLS.

3. Jeans
Coloured jeans, another item I`ve been after for a while, and more specifically in burgundy! In this photo, I only included the teal pair, but I did also purchase a burgundy pair. I bought a couple sizes too big, just so it would be comfortable to pray wearing them. I`ve only tried them on so far, they seem really nice. But, again, another two items I cannot wait to mix and match with the rest of my wardrobe.

4. Necklace
I`ve been collecting this type of necklaces, but I have yet been able to wear them out, SIMPLY because I don`t know how to wear it nicely with a scarf!! Can anybody help me? Link me to a youtube video or something?! *cryface*

6. Bracelet
On sale at 50p, couldn`t say no, eh?

Do you like my purchases? Have you recently purchased anything from Primark?

xo

P.S. Have you entered my giveaway yet? Ends two weeks tomorrow!!

MW's Goodies: Bath and Body Galore

Hey Whirlers! :)

How is everyone doing? Hope you`re all entering my blog giveaway! :)

Anyway, the other day, I strolled into the bath and beauty aisle in Asda, and ended up spending a little over my budget in there! So, I thought I`d share my purchases with you! :)

1. John Frieda Frizz-Ease 3 Day Straight - £7.00
I`ve seen many people review this, and all have been positive! At £7, I personally think its a little dear, but there was a '3 for £10' offer at Asda, so I decided to purchase. I probably wouldn`t have purchased this full price. I have yet to open it and try it out, but when I do, I will surely do a review and let you know.

2. The Hair Design Studio Hair Vitality Oil Argan Gold - £3.98
Now, I`m not entirely sure what the difference is between Argan/Moroccan oil, maybe somebody can teach me in the comment below? Anyway, I`d never used any of these products before, so I thought I`d give it a go.
I have an untame-able mane, so I genuinely thought this product would be like all others and wouldn`t be able to do anything to my hair. I showered, towel dried majority of my hair and following the instructions put a small amount from mid-length to tips. Left to dry without much hope. However, I was pleasantly mistaken, my hair once dried was so soft and shiny! I was in awe. Kept touching it and swooshing it (lol). And, the smell of the oil is divine!! For under £4, you can`t go wrong with this purchase, and I`m sure I will repurchase!

3. Great Hair Moisture Drench Shampoo and Conditioner - £3.98 each
Again, keeping up with the experimenting with Argan/Moroccan oil vibe, I decided to purchase these in the '3 for £10' offer.
I tried this out and I absolutely loved it! The roots of my hair is often frizzy and has plenty of flyaways with my normal shampoo. But once my hair was dry and I was able to examine, I was really happy with the end results. My hair was shiny from root to tip and no flyaways in sight!! And, another bonus? My hair is soft and manageable! BIG THUMBS UP FROM ME. If, I continuously get this result, I will most definitely repurchase.

4. Kleenex Shine Absorbing Sheets - £2.00
I saw Aalia of Hijabi with Style instagram about this product the other day, so when I saw it in Asda, I thought I`ll give it a go. Especially, as I`ve never used blotting sheets before in my life. (Yes, I was feeling courageous with all the new experiments!)
I came home, gave it a whirl, and was REALLY surprised how absorbing the sheets are! You get 50 sheets in a pack, so that works out at 4p per sheet used on your face, which I thought wasn`t bad. So, I`m keeping this packet in my handbag, and when I get on a yukky tube and its beyond humid, I`m sure I`ll be refreshing myself by swirling this over the MW face.

5. Neutrogena Visibly Clear Oil-Free Moisturiser - £3.00
Now, a true Whirler will know how much I LOVE the Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit range, so when this moisturiser caught my attention, I didn`t take a second thought and put two into my shopping basket.
I had a look through the ingredients list, and I was looking out for one specific ingredient: Salicylic Acid. I always try to look for this ingredient in my face washes as this is what reduces blemishes and marks on your face, which most Indian/Asian skins are prone to from spots as we have darker pigmentation. I thought as it was the same range, it might have it, and it did! Which I was ecstatic about.
I`ve used it every time I`ve washed my face since purchasing and I am very happy with this purchase. It leaves a matte effect on my face after applying and hopefully it will reduce my marks even quicker! Most defnintely an item for my repurchase list.

Have you guys got any of these products? Do you have a better recommendation? Can someone teach me about Argan/Moroccan Oil?

MW's Mini Goodies from Forever 21

My Wicked Whirrlers!! :)

Ordered a few little items off Forever 21's website:

Chandelier Long Necklace - £6.60
Long Finger Ring - £3.90

I absolutely love these purchases!! I can definitely see a lot of use out of the necklace, as its black and simple and can be thrown on plenty of outfits.
(Of course, if you want to be more creative, then why not make a necklace with your own earrings like I did  here. Its obviously more of a wiser option, as you`re wearing your favourite earring lol AND you save money.)

The ring is cool. I like it. I wore it yesterday, didn`t get too much in the way nor caught in clothes, so I think I`ll be wearing that a bit, too. :)

My only concern was the delivery of my online order. I spent £3.95 on delivery....thats quite dear if I do say so myself, but with that much for delivery, surely one would expect the goodies to be delivered, lets say fairly promptly? I received it over a week later!! And, the ONLY reason I even received it then, was after I emailed F21 and followed up on my order! They said it went to the wrong depot and was being relabeled and sent back to my nearest depot, which meant they only picked up on their error after I brought it to their attention! Thats not good enough for me. They DID refund me on my delivery, but I`d rather not be put in this situation again in the future, especially at £3.95.

So, in the future, if I really want anything from F21? I`m just going to pop into the stores in London rather than go through the hassle of emailing F21 Customer Services to follow up on my order!

MW's Goodies: Elf Make Up Purchases/Review

Hi Whirllers!

So, I get an email from elf saying theres a special offer at the moment, if you spend £10+ and include a specific code, you get a £10 worth of 'Luxury Gift Set Mystery Box' plus free postage and packaging! So, I thought, yea, why not? I need new bronzer, anyway and I HATE paying for postage and packaging (lol). So, I went ahead and spent exactly £10 and this is what I got:

Massive box! Postman had to deliver it in his van as opposed to bike/on foot. I crawled back into bed with the box, which is why you can see my bedspread in the photos lol:

Whoever packed it, was having fun, it was STUFFED with bubble wrap. Kept it, might need it in the future to send goodies in the post:

These are the goodies I purchased:
Warm Bronzer - £3.50
Mineral Lipstick in Ripe Rose - £3.50
Nail Polish in Dark Red - £1.50
Nail Polish in Mod Mauve - £1.50

What I got for free in the Luxury Gift Set Mystery Box:
Beauty Book in Smokey Eye Edition - £6.00
Smudge Brush - £1.50
Nail File - £1.50
Nail Polish in Golden Goddess - £1.50

This is what the Beauty Book Smokey Eye Edition looks like! Its got one side filled with a mirror, eyeshadows, eyeliner and an applicator. Whilst on the other side are the steps on how to do a smokey eye. Quite nifty for someone who is new to eyeshadows (i.e. me)!

Here are swatches (is that the correct word to use?) for the nail polishes. The first one I tried out was 'Dark Red' and the ring finger has the polish with only one coat. So, you`ll need to wear two coats to achieve the Dark Red colour. I love elf nail polishes. They`re long lasting for the price. And, they have quite a wide choice of colours to choose from. They also have Vitamin E in them, so helps look after the nails.

This is 'Mod Mauve' on the ring finger and I absolutely LOVE this colour on my nails!! Its like a salmon colour, so its not too much in your face, which I love. You could wear this to work and it would seem like a professional colour, I think, anyway.

Here is the 'Golden Goddess' - on its own not very nice, but over nail polish it looks nice. Probably more ideal if you`re going out in the evening and wearing gold to match it.

I actually wore this over black nail polish, and it looked great! The glitters don`t fall off easily, unless you put force on them to come off. The polish does dry with a matte effect, so it looks great! I would recommend if you ever wanted to 'dazzle' your nails, quickly and cheaply!

Here is the Mineral Lipstick in Ripe Rose. Cute packaging. Its simple. And, you can see its a nice nudey pink/red colour.

Here it is as a swatch on my hand. Its described on the website as a matte creamy deep pink, and I would say this is an accurate description of the lipstick. It was creamy and not drying on my lips. I did add vaseline over it for a slight sheen. I would probably buy different colours from this range, as I`m starting to experiment with lipsticks.

Also, the Warm Bronzer is a fav item of mine. I`m obsessed with it and its my go-to bronzer after recommendations from Lil Miss Rosh, ages ago!! Everyone should purchase it. And, at £3.50 you literally cannot go wrong with it!

So, thats my recent purchase from elf! Do you buy anything from elf? What would you recommend for my next elf shopping basket?

MW's goody/Eidi present from ALDO

Okay, as you can see on my lushlist, I wanted a pair of riding boots. I had my eye on the combined two tone riding boots by Zara!

When I went to the second Zara, which stocked them, they didn't look very nice in real life. They actually looked quite cheap and not at all near the price tag worth! Some of the boots had zips broken, already?! And, weren't even sold yet? Scratches all over them, made me realise they would get ruined quickly. Resulting in mum yelling at me! LOL - massive doubts!

Definitely not going to purchase nearly £100 worth of boots with scratches all over it? Left Zara and sat down outside, saw ALDO. Best friend KNEW I wanted to go in there as they saw ALDO at the same time as me! Lol!

Went in and saw a two tone pair of boots and these brown riding boots, asked for both in my size. The two tone was nice, but the brown ones were the ones I wanted and fell in love with! I HAD to get them, but were £120! A bit outside my budget, so compromised with the Sales Assistant and said if I buy the cleaner too, he'll take off 10% off each product! So, it came to £113 something in total! How awesome? :D

So, now these are my winter boots for the next two years, insha'Allah! (Mum won't let me buy new ones next year)

Also, my Eidi present from my Mum :)

What you guys got/getting for Eid?
