MW's Feminine Fierce OOTD

Whirlers,

If you follow me on Instagram, then you`ll know, I recently purchased beautiful studded boots:

So, over the weekend, I incorporated them into my outfit as I was dying to wear them! They are surprisingly comfortable for Zara. And, at the moment they are £16.99 on the website!

Studs and spikes isn`t my usual attire, so I kept it feminine with a floral blouse and a long pleated maxi skirt. As you can see, I wore the floral blouse and funky belt from my recent goodies post! I`m seriously loving this belt - literally finding any excuse to put it on.

What do you think?

Belt: Next
Boots: Zara
Bag: Aldo
Hijab: H&M

How else do you think I could rock the boots?

MW's Shopping Goodies: H&M, New Look, Next and more

Hey Whirlers,

Hope are well! I`ve recently been splurging - I know, bad habits die hard - but I will stop buying clothes for a few months, I think.

Here are my recent goodies:

I first ordered some things online from H&M - I love that shop, but their online delivery is horrendous! H&M sort it out - I`m pretty sure you lose valuable customers due to your awful delivery servicing.

1. Scarves
Khaki scarf, oversized and made out of linen - perfect for summer, but I`m just going to throw this around my neck for the office. This scarf appealed to me because of the frayed edges - love that.
Grey scarf, oversized square scarf from the men's section. Super soft and perfect for throwing on as a shawl. This scarf also has frayed edges - yay!
Pink floral scarf, normal size lightweight scarf - perfect for the Spring when floral will be on trend.
2. Pink Blazer
I love this blazer, it has black lapels - so it will be perfect for an evening dinner date.
3. Pumps
H&M do great everyday pumps for £7.99 which I love, I think these are like my 6th or 7th pairs! I purchased black as everything goes with black and some leopard print pumps because I usually wear black and I like to have something to 'pop'!
4. Sleeveless Blouse
I love this vibrant pinky-coral coloured satin blouse. I have yet to wear it, but its modest and large (I purchased a size 18) and dipped hem. So I`m looking forward to creating an outfit with this blouse.
5. Long Sleeve Blouse
I needed a light coloured dip hemmed blouse to wear casually over coloured jeans - and, I think this is perfect for it! It is somewhat sheer, but I will wear a nude long sleeve t-shirt underneath.

I have recently become obsessed with eBay and over the Christmas period I ordered a lot of items, even bidding for the first time - PLUS winning - RESULT! I haven`t uploaded all of my purchases from eBay as they`re dotted around the house but these items were at hand:

6. Brown Shoulder Bag
I absolutely adore this bag, I initially saw it on one of The Curious Orchid duo at the recent Bloggers Lunch and I fell in love with it. Check out their details photos of the bag here. You wouldn`t believe this bag is from eBay! The seller is called soleaffair, UK based, too! The bag comes in a variation of colours - check out the page here. Must buy!
7. "Maxi" Skirts
More like midi skirts, with a 20cm shorter lining to the skirt, itself! I prefer to wear my skirts on my waist than my hips, so when I do this - the skirts should JUST skim the floor, but these ones come to my mid-calf - which I`m not happy about. If I wear it on my hips, it does touch the floor - but we`ll see. I`ll try and find an outfit with these skirts.
Can midi skirts be worn with leggings underneath?
8. Scarf
This scarf appealed to me because it was oversized and in hunter green. It also has a fab print on it, which will be great for the warmer weather to come!
Check out the page for it here - have a look at the other colour options. The rustic red one looks gorgeous, too!

Princess Rockz, everyone has heard of them, and of course one of the founders/face of the label is my dear friend Aalia, so its good to support a friends business!
9. Scarves
I opted for the terracotta maxi scarf and the dark brown maxi scarf - both oversized and soft! Can`t wait to wear them!
10. Scarf
This is a massive oversized scarf from the men's section in Berksha. It also has frayed edges, which I love. I don`t know what colour this is, because its not grey, but its not purple, either. Hmm. Its like a dull heather colour.

11. Scarves
Its those skinny scarves, which would look great as the bow on your turban. I`ve only ever done the turban look once, and that was when I was doing my contouring tutorial  - but, I want the confidence to experiment so thats why I purchased these skinny scarves! One has a floral print and the other has a paisley print.
12. Rings
Each one was £1, which is fantastic. I purchased a bow, an owl and a butterfly. Seriously cute.

13. Maroon Blouse
I love the colour of this blouse, as I am obsessed with oxblood. What I also adore about this blouse, is that there is a lacy panel on the top part (front and back), but its not see-through! There is material underneath it - maintaining your modesty which is fantastic - so no skin is exposed! Perfecto!
14. White Blazer
This is a long line blazer, and is perfect for an evening do - as its modest, yet elegant at the same time. Can`t wait for the cold to pass so I can wear it and not worry about getting it dirty!
15. Belt
OH.MY.WORD.
I love this belt!! I`ve worn it 3 times already - totally obsessed! I`ve seen similar, but smaller size belt in New Look! The belt looks fantastic with a black flowy maxi skirt!
16. Blouse
This is a high neck, long sleeve sheer floral blouse - which I absolutely love. Although the button is on the back of the neck, which makes me feel claustrophobic :( besides that, this blouse is gorgeous with a maxi skirt, as well!
17. Metal Painted Word
I love anything French. Had to buy it. Its currently on my dresser, I`m waiting to think of a more creative place for it.
18. Headband
Again, like item 11, I want to put bows in my scarves. Just stocking up before I start experimenting!

So, that`s all my recent purchases, and hopefully for a long time - lol.

What are your recent purchases?
Have you bought anything the same?
Is there an OOTD you`d like to see with any of these items?

Let me know. Keep safe in the snow.

Lots of love,
xo

MW's Winter Wonderland OOTD

Whirlers,

Hope you`re all staying safe if you`re faced with snow! Its slightly embarrassing living in Southern England, where a slightest bit of snow we all go into standstill! Anybody else get frustrated with that??

Evidently the camera had to come out with the beautiful scenes around the area!
This is what I wore to face the cold.
I`m not sure why I have my hands on my snood in EVERY photo, I apologise. I must of thought it looked cute haha.

I`m loving my Next overcoat - its so warm, fits like a glove and just perfecto! I love Next because they  are one of the few high street stores that offer petite range and wide fit shoes - which I need both, being 5ft and size 4 wide feet - I`m always buying items from there for my everyday wardrobe. So, when I found this gorgeous camel overcoat - I was TOTALLY ecstatic and put this in my 'shopping basket' ridiculously quickly!
Its perfect because I can wear it casually with my biker boots and I can wear it to work, where I wear smart attire - like I said, perfecto!

T-Shirt - H&M
Trousers - Dorothy Perkins
Overcoat - Next
Boots - New Look
Gloves - John Rocha
Scarf - eBay
Snood - H&M

What are you wearing to stay warm this winter?

MW's Updated Review: Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit Daily Scrub

Hey Whirlers,

Hope you`re all well and embracing the new year with positivity! :)

I thought I would do an updated review of the Neutrogena Grapefruit Daily Scrub, because the one I did previously here, was when I first started blogging and was a little clueless on how these product reviews worked. In fact, I probably am still clueless (look at my swatches here -horrendous).

But here goes for take two:

Product: Neutrogena Grapefruit Daily Scrub

Price Range: £4.50-ish, sometimes you get amazing 2-for-1's in Superdrug/Boots - so keep an eye out for that bargain.

What the packaging says
'helps eliminate spots and blemishes with a fresh clean feel'
Does it?
Yes, it does.
This product contains Salicylic Acid, which is a key ingredient in anti-acne treatments because it opens clogged pores, neutralises bacteria within and prevents pores from clogging and allows new cells to grow. This is where the 'scrub' part of the product comes into action as the Acid works as an exfoliant and gets rid of the old cells. Which in effect is eliminating the spots and blemishes to leave you with a fresh face.

'An uplifting daily facial scrub for clear, fresh and healthy looking skin everyday...exfoliating micro-beads, the formula unclogs pores to clean deeply and help eliminate spots and blemishes'
Does it?
Yes, it does.
I have the tendency to be drawn to scrubs, as I feel these types of products are better to remove the dirt you build up throughout the day compared to a normal gel face wash.
This scrub is good because the exfoliant beads are actually all a consistent size which is great, in my opinion. I`ve tried other face scrubs where the beads are different sizes, so I don`t like that feeling on my face, I prefer to have a smoother consistency - if that makes sense, considering there are beads in this scrub.

'...refreshing scrub gently purifies the skin without overdrying, while a wave of pink grapefruit uplifts the senses with a burst of invigorating freshness.'
Yes, it does.
I use this product twice a day, and after I dry my face it doesn`t feel dry at all. My skin doesn`t tighten, either. And, the smell? So divine, fruity, summery and fresh. This product will waken you right up in the morning and you will go to sleep with a fresh feeling.

Why I love scrubs:
If you`re washing a plate (yes, I`m using a plate as an analogy for a face) with fairy liquid but you just use your hands and not the scouring pad - you`re only going to remove some of the dirt but if you use the scouring pad WITH the gel, you remove much more dirt, leaving your plate cleaner. The exfoliant beads in a face scrub...those are my mini scouring pads all over my face (lol). So, bearing that in mind, using the scrub on a daily basis, removing the dirt, it does leave my face feeling fresh, clean and healthy looking!

Sensitive skin:
I`m not sure how this product will be with sensitive skin, but I don`t like using harsh products on my face as I break out - I have yet to break out from this product. So, if you have sensitive skin, try it - but don`t vouch me for it!

Recommend this product
In my first review I said I would recommend this to anyone that will listen, and I still stand by that statement. It is an amazing product with amazing results.
This type of product is fantastic for those who pick their spots and leave marks *guilty*, a week or so of using this product daily, you will notice a dramatic difference to your skin, the marks will have started to fade and you will have more of a glow on your face.
Because of the exfoliant beads, you really do leave with a deep clean feel, which can only result in confidence ;)
I have always had positive feedback from girls who have used this product through my recommendation, which I love because I do want to share how great this product is.

There are other types of face washes in this Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit Visibly Clear range, being gel face wash and a cream wash - I have tried only the gel face wash, but it isn`t nearly as good as the face scrub (think of my fairy liquid example - no scouring pad!). Although, that one is designed for more oily skin. I still think everyone should try the scrub. I have yet to try the cream wash, but I have tried other Neutrogena cream washes and they are moisturising, but this isn`t what I`m after in a face wash. I`m after a product that will get deep into my pores and remove the dirt, which I believe only a face scrub can do - so I recommend the face scrub to notice the effects.

Another thing I love about this product is that only a little bit is required per wash, so the product lasts for months!

Cons:
After a while of using it, I have probably been using it for a couple of years, you do become immune to the smell of the fresh grapefruit-ness. But, this isn`t too much of a big issue for myself as I`d rather have the benefits of the Salicylic Acid working on my face and removing marks!
This range also has a moisturising cream, I did a review for that here - but, in short, its overrated.

Besides that, there aren`t many cons to this product!

Conclusion: I love this product. I go on about this product all the time. It is my beauty secret that I love to share.

BUY IT. TRY IT. LOVE IT.
And, let me know what you think about it!

xo

P.S. I`m liking these beauty kind of posts - weather is awful at the moment so unable to do many OOTDs :( - Hope you`re liking them, as you may get more!
