MW's Snaps at Numera's Walima

Helllllloooo Whirlers,

I have missed you guys all so much! I have been MIA and I sincerely apologise. Life had completely taken over and I feel like I can now breathe a little! Hope everyone is well?!

This blogpost will be dedicated to one of the main girls in my life, Numera, who recently got married and we were all blessed and fortunate enough to be included in the next step of her life. I met Numera at the first bloggers meet up. Myself, Safiyah, Numera and Asmaa clicked, and we haven`t looked back since. Numera is probably the calm one out of us lot, besides Asmaa. She has such a beautiful soul and masha`Allah so patient. So when she asked if I would be happy to take photos for her, how could I refuse?

I was also kindly granted permission to share these photos on my blog, so, please take a moment and have a look through Numera's Walima photos and I hope you enjoy them as much as I did taking these:

My Rani, Safiyah did the make up for the wedding and walima, and if you`re interested in having a closer look, please have a look at here

Hope you enjoyed these photos.

MW's Monochrome Madness OOTD

Whirlers,

Hope everyone is well. I recently went to a Walima and I finally had a chance to grab some shots of my outfit before running to the car, so I thought I`d share with you:

Sari: Damini's
Hijab: eBay
Jewellery: Bees

I like to keep my sari's really simple, so its comfortable to run around in at weddings, etc. I`m not a fan of excessively embroidered borders, etc. I know I will be a nightmare when I`m choosing my wedding outfits - hah.

What do you think of my outfit? Too simple for an Asian wedding?

P.S. Are you following me on Facebook?

MW's Wedding Shots

Hey Whirlers,

I love taking wedding photos as you are probably aware, so I thought I`d share some photos I took of my best friend's brothers wedding!

It was pretty exciting for me as it was the first time I was using my new lense. So, I really enjoyed experimenting with it.

Check them out:

This was actually my first wedding that I was involved in/helping out/behind the scenes, etc and I had SO much fun!! Although, afterwards my entire body was shattered and I stayed in bed for 2 days lol.

Here are a few snapshots. Enjoy the pics!!

*Edit: There`s SO many photos! Apologies!! But, worth it!*

MEHENDHI
Ohmy!! This cake was serious nomness!! Lemons and limes to go with the green and yellow theme of the Mehendi.
I actually took a quarter of one of the tiers home because I liked it that much lollll!
Taals me and my Mama Bear created!
You can`t have a Mehendi without cool engraved watermelons!! Can`t really see clearly in this photo, but there was two different kinds of roses in this basket.
The table centrepieces we made. Was quite difficult to get in the right places, but we got there in the end. So cute, right?
Cupcake galore!!
The mehendi stage.
Her beautiful mehendi dress.
BEAUTIFUL <3
Cutting the cake with her parents.
Me and my friends and I wore a hot pink with cream embroidery long salwar kameez.
Doing that thing where they put those floral bracelets, umm, rakhi, onto her wrist.
Me and my friends with the bride.
FIT <3
With those pointless dangly bangles lol, which she took off after five minutes.
Getting her mendhi done.
Her beautiful mehendhi at the end of the night.

WEDDING DAY

When she arrived with her siblings and nephew and nieces.
Beautiful Bride masha`Allah <3
Beautiful centrepiece that went with the theme of the wedding.
Exchanging the rings.
Signing the nikkah certificate, I think?
4 tier wedding cake!! Can`t go wrong with that.
Engraved cake knife, with their name and the date of their marriage. How cool is that?
Oops, got caught taking the photo. And, BFF trying to be the shy bride. Pfft.
Beautiful couple, masha`Allah.
REGISTRY

Beautiful!
When they went to discuss the vows.
When they were saying the vows, which by the way, was hilarious as it was just SO awkward as her parents were there, too lol.
When they were signing the registry book, or were they pretending and actually just posing? lol
Legally married!! lol.
Aww.
Beautiful!
This is what I wore to the Registry: a black maxi dress, khaki cropped jacket, a skinny waist belt, nude heels and a black scarf.
When it was time for the girls to catch the bouquet! Look at me at the front! Nobody was getting past me!!
Cute!
So happy lol. And, then we were told off for taking photos here.
